Ala-Too International University invites students and young researchers to an International student conference on the topic “Current issues in the English language and literature in the 21st century: perspectives of young researchers”, which will be held on November 24, 2023, at 10:00 am.

This event provides an excellent opportunity for students and young researchers to share their knowledge, research and discuss current problems related to the English language and literature in the modern world.

The thematic sections of the conference include:

• Contemporary English Language: State and Trends in its Development

• Intercultural Communication and Cultural Dialogue

• Language identity and communication culture in the professional sphere

• World Literature

• Current issues in the methodology of English language teaching

• Information technology in teaching English

Requirements to submit articles:

• Paper Theme:

  • Papers should address current issues in the English language and literature within the context of the 21st century. The theme should be related to the main topic of the conference.

• Paper Length:

  • The maximum length of the paper is 5 pages in A4 format, including all text and graphical materials.

• Formatting:

  • Use Times New Roman font with a font size of 14 points

  • The line spacing should be set at 1.5

  • Pages should be numbered in the top right corner

  • Margins should be set at 2.54 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right)

• Paper Structure:

  • Papers should have a clear structure, including an introduction, literature review (if necessary), main body, conclusion, and a list of references.

• Language of the Paper:

  • Papers should be written in English.

• List of References:

  • Include a list of the literature used, which should be formatted according to academic standards (e.g., APA, MLA, or other established standards).

• Abstract:

  • Each paper should be accompanied by an abstract of 150 to 200 words in English. The abstract should contain the main theses and conclusions of the paper.

• Formatting of visual materials:

  • If the paper includes graphics, tables, or images, ensure that they are clearly labeled and formatted appropriately.

• Originality and Authorship:

  • Papers should present original research or analysis, and authors should be fully responsible for the originality of their work.

• Preparation and Submission:

  • Papers should be prepared in electronic format (e.g., Microsoft Word) and submitted to the conference organizers by the specified deadline.

• Review and Publication:

  • All papers will undergo a review process and quality assessment by experts. After acceptance, papers may be published in the conference proceedings or another scientific publication provided by the organizers.

  • Please ensure that your papers comply with the specified requirements before submitting them to the conference.
